F1 Quickie: Paul Di Resta substituting for Felipe Massa
Scottish driver Paul Di Resta is substituting for Felipe Massa this weekend in the Hungarian Grand Prix. Di Resta was called in on short notice, beginning his substitution stint with the qualifying, and didn’t do so hot, qualifying 19th. Let’s hope he’ll do better in the actual race.
Di Resta drove in Formula Ones between 2011 and 2013 for Force India. He’s mostly made his mark outside F1s at Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) series but was hired last year as a reserve driver for Williams.
Addendum: Di Resta replaced Massa after he fell ill during Free Practice on Friday and Saturday. The exact cause of his illness is unknown.
