F1 Quickie: FIA approves Halo for F1 in 2018

The FIA has officially ruled that the halo protective rigging for F1 cars will be introduced from next season onward.

The introduction of the halo has been considered since the 2014 Jules Bianchi accident which eventually led to his death.

The halo has been heavily criticised by drivers who have tested it but the FIA seems determined to introduce the new safety measure into the sport.
