F1 Quickie: Ericsson confirmed for 2017
Swedish F1 driver Marcus Ericsson has signed a deal with Sauber that will cover the 2017 season. Ericsson has failed to score points this entire season but apparently the troubled team (which has been racing in F1s since the 1990s) still trusts Marcus to give him one more year.
No confirmation has been given on the future of his team-mate Felipe Nasr who finally drove the team to points in the penultimate Grand Prix of the season in Brazil. With Esteban Ocon having jumped from Manor to Force India for next season – Manor’s remaining driver, Pascal Wehrlein, might be up for grabs at Sauber (Wehrlein is a Mercedes backed driver and both teams drive with Mercedes engines).
