F1 Quickie: Radio rules amended for up-coming German GP

The discussion over the controversial radio assistance rule in F1s has amazingly borne some fruit. F1 Teams convened today to discuss simplifying F1 regulations. Apparently as a result of these talks, the F1 radio rule will be amended this following weekend for the German Grand Prix. Radio communications will still be heavily monitored in the lead-up to the start, including the warm-up lap – but apparently radio messages between teams and drivers will not be penalised during the actual race.

I’m honestly more than surprised that some actual change has come out of these talks this quickly, but on the other hand, the outcry has been quite severe these past few weekends. As for what else was decided by the regulations talk has to yet to have come to light.
