Nerd Aww: Keiji hearts Shiggy
In the rather cynical and dull world of gaming press, it’s occasionally sweet to see gaming news about genuine displays of affection. The latest came from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune who recently spoke about his immense respect for Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and, of course, Nintendo’s loveable mascot Mario.
Inafune says that he considers Mario his “bible” for making video games and that a developer can find good ideas in a Mario game for a game of any genre. Inafune, who no longer works for Capcom, is currently working on a crowd-funded game project Mighty No. 9 which is intended as the spiritual successor to Mega Man. I await eagerly for Mr. Inafune’s new project to hit the Nintendo eShop!
